New Year, New Directions
Sometimes life takes an arrow to the knee and it forces you to retreat, regroup, and make another plan of attack. That happened to me two days before New Years Eve, and I’ve since found myself needing to gather my thoughts and start over from scratch (with life; not this site).
Last year I completely re-developed this site with the aim of entering it into the Australian Web Awards. It was a long and exhausting process, but I somehow ended up as a finalist in the Personal category. The style I designed to website to follow, I made specifically for the awards. But now I feel the need to change it.
I know there are still some broken things and some unfinished things on this website, but I feel the need to change style. I was told by a very close friend, that the “waterside” style didn’t make sense with the life I live. I live a more urban lifestyle and that ties in with a more arty/rough/grungy/organic style (I’m not going to say hippie, yuppie, or hipster, because frankly…yuck).
So…
Basically all this means is I will be slowly but surely creating a new WordPress theme style to reflect the lifestyle I currently live. It may take months to develop, but this time it will be doing it for me.
Just some thoughts.
PS. For those who use Pancake Payments, I will be covering a bit of this from now on in addition to NextGen Gallery and Gravity Forms. I’ll post up an awesome integration in a couple of weeks.
