What this website is about

This website is a tasty mixed bag of random musings, thoughts, rants, and raves, code fragments that save the day, asides, links, galleries, and tunes rocking my speakers. This site might end up being total chaos so bring it on!

Why this website exists

I got sick of Facebook and Twitter, I’m getting sick of LinkedIn, and I don’t use Flickr or Delicious enough to care. Sure they are great services to use, but with each constantly changing the goalposts, I decided I want out. That posed a problem of where I would be able to vent my thoughts, fears, what I like, what I don’t like and so on.

I was initially drawn to Tumblr. I like the idea of being able to have audio posts for showing off what I’m currently listening to, or video post for funny cat videos that make me laugh. The problem however is that it’s another 3rd party service that I’m trying to avoid. Combine that with the fact that I’m getting fed up in having to be “two faced” (not what you are thinking. Relax, blog post coming soon).
